-Hi! Who are you?

+ Hello, I´m the Gioconda.

-Who are you by?

+ I was created by Leonardo da Vinci in the Renaissance that was a cultural movement  in  the late Medieval period.

-Who was Leonardo?

+He was a famous artist , inventor and scientist .In addition I,m his most famous painting, also he invented a new technique called Esfumato.

-Why is Gioconda your name?

+Because my husband’s surname was Giocondo. He was an important and rich bourgeois. We were very glad.

-What are you doing here, behind a crystal?

+Leonardo spent 30 years painting me , and when he died  in 1519 the king of France bought me, but now (since 1804) I´m  behind a crystal in the Louvre Museum so that people don't damage me.

-Why do a lot of people visit you every day?

+Because my story and I became  the most famous painting in the history of art, and my painter  managed to represent a greater smile in my eyes than in my mouth.

-Wow , you’re so important.

+Now I’m going to ask  you a question.

-O.K.

+Where’re you from?

-We are from Almonte , Spain.

+Well, I have got a Spanish friend  , right in the Prado Museum in Madrid. She look like me.

-Why?.

+ Because she was created at the same time as me.

-In that case we’ll visit her.

+Bye.
